Many have asked me about the past week of VBS and I would have to say that it was a fantastic week!  We had an overall enrollment of 487 (293 children and 194 adults/youth). Five children prayed to receive Christ and several others are asking important questions and we will do follow-up with them and their families during the next couple of weeks. Pray for the Children’s ministry as we continue to reach out to the children of our community.

Eight weeks ago I wasn’t sure if we would be able to have our summer VBS program because of the tornato that had literally ripped Joplin apart. I wondered if we would have the adult/Youth leadership needed to love on Joplin’s kids. I am proud to say that over 190 volunteers have helped make this a great week for the kids.  These volunteers are from all 3 campuses.  It’s great that we are one church with 3 campuses!  Thank you for praying, helping, and financially giving to make this week possible.

What an awesome start to a fun-filled week! The children are having a great time in New York City. They have their Bible study at Battery Park, but they also spend time at the Crafts District, Midtown Snacks, Music Backstage, and Mission Central. Forest Park is all abuzz this week. We have the best kids and volunteers to create an exciting time. It’s not too late to join us during the rest of the week–July 20-22 starting at 9:00 am. You can still register online at fpbc.net. Hello FP Northers (is that a word?)! We want to say “Thank You” again for helping get Kid City ready. It has been an awesome couple of weeks! Thank you for praying, cleaning, painting, organizing, moving stuff, putting together stuff, and ANYTHING else you did. We could not have done it without you!

You’ve probably noticed that God is bringing lots and lots of children to Kid City…yeah! These kids are coming to God’s house, hearing His Word, and feeling His love through the kindness and attention of the teachers. The teachers are having a great time, too. Actually, I think some of the teachers are having as much fun as the kids!

We have almost 50 teachers/youth helpers in Kid City, but we still need a few more. Our greatest need is on Saturday at 7:00 pm in the Cinema (K-4th grade) and the Depot (Preschoolers). We…

Well, it is finally here. This Saturday and Sunday we will be launching our North Campus! Please be praying this week that all of the final preparations are completed and that God would do a great work through all of us at North Campus.

Make sure and talk to your team leader this week about when and where you will need to be for the weekend. If you do not have a team yet, please let me know.

We still have plenty of invitations at the campus for you to hand out, so come on by sometime and pick some up. We also need a lot of cleaning done this week, so if you are available come on by and start cleaning.

I can’t wait until Saturday and Sunday! See you this weekend.

A special thank you to all of you who helped with the neighborhood blitz this weekend. I am hearing great stories about contacts that were made! If you were not able to come out this weekend, it is not too late. We have a lot of cards that can be handed out. Send me an email, or simply come by the campus to pick up some cards to hand out.
