Well once again let me say “WOW!” Yes, it was a wonderful first weekend at North Campus. Thank you again for all of you who prayed, worked and invited. The greatest part of launching our campus is that we now get to do it every weekend. Below are a couple of reminders for each of us this weekend.

• Be in your spots early. We want to make sure and be prepared before our guests arrive. Talk to your team leader about when exactly they want you in your spot.
• Park in the back or away from the main doors. Our parking lot team will have a few of you park closer to the entry ways so that it looks like we have a crowd but if they don’t ask you then go ahead and park farther away.
• Be intentional about greeting people you do not know. The best conversation starter…

Wow, what a weekend! Thank you all for your hard work, prayers and support for the Forest Park North Campus launch. This weekend was truly amazing. We had a total of 768 in attendance with at least 6 decisions for Christ! Way to go!

Everyone did such a great job of welcoming our guests—from the parking lot all the way to the Auditorium and in-between. I loved seeing you investing in new people this weekend. It was truly wonderful to see you all “get it.” It is not about “us;” it is all about “Him,” and sharing our heart with “them!” Keep praying, keep inviting, and we will continue to see God work in mighty ways.

Saturday Night - 9/12/09

Today and tomorrow we launch our North Campus at Forest Park! Here are a couple of instructions for everyone this weekend.

1. Park in the back of the campus. Let’s save the prime spots for our guests. There will be parking in the back of the campus as well as behind Kum & Go.
2. Arrive early and make sure to be in your place with a smile on your face.
3. Everyone is on the First Impression Team. If you see someone that is new and needs help, then offer your assistance. Our objective this weekend is not to visit with our friends, but instead to seek out guests and make them feel welcome.
4. Sit toward the middle and front during the service. Leave the back and side seats for our guests. They will more than likely be later than others, and we do not want them to climb over people or…

Well, it is finally here. This Saturday and Sunday we will be launching our North Campus! Please be praying this week that all of the final preparations are completed and that God would do a great work through all of us at North Campus.

Make sure and talk to your team leader this week about when and where you will need to be for the weekend. If you do not have a team yet, please let me know.

We still have plenty of invitations at the campus for you to hand out, so come on by sometime and pick some up. We also need a lot of cleaning done this week, so if you are available come on by and start cleaning.

I can’t wait until Saturday and Sunday! See you this weekend.

Clean Up
We have lots to do at the North Campus today. If you have any time available come by, we need to clean, set up chairs, etc.

College Pool Party
We are hosting a pool party for the college students at the Towery’s today from 1-4:00 pm. Contact me or the Towery’s for more information or directions. College students, bring your friends and come have some fun, food, and a chance to win an iPod Touch!

Sunday’s Preview Service
Tomorrow (Sunday, August 30) is our last preview service. We will again have services at 9:30 and 11:00 am. The Saturday team will serve first hour and worship second hour, and the Sunday team will worship first hour and serve second hour. This is our last practice run before our launch on September 12 and 13, so let’s try and all be in our place and take…

Neighborhood Blitz
A special thank you to all of you who helped with the neighborhood blitz this weekend. I am hearing great stories about contacts that were made! If you were not able to come out this weekend, it is not too late. We have a lot of cards that can be handed out. Send me an email, or simply come by the campus to pick up some cards to hand out.

Wow! Sheri and I decided to have some Woody’s BBQ for lunch today. After some yummy smoked turkey, we dropped by North Campus to check out the progress. It’s simply amazing! Only our great God could get so much done so quickly with such excellence!

I’m very thankful for all of you who are praying, serving, and inviting. North Campus is going to see a lot of people’s lives changed…and you will know that you were part of it from the beginning. How exciting! Or maybe it’s more relevant to say, “SHAZAM!”
